Alongside the thoroughbred "R" models, Volkswagen also offers an independent trim level called "R-Line" that is all show but no go. The latest model series to get the R-Line treatment is the European market version of the facelifted Passat.
The R-line versions of the Passat sedan and Estate are positioned between the mid-level ‘Comfortline’ and the top ‘Highline’ versions.
